Viking Gold 2000 / Maple Comet Steel Clap $1,385

The Viking Gold 2000 boot is one of the best designed stock long track boots available. They offer an incredible feel for the ice and highly technical skaters prefer them.

The Maple Comet Steel clap blade was first used by Chad Hedrick and Shani Davis to take first and second respectively in the 2004 World All Around Championships. Since then, it has become the most sought after long track blade by elite skaters. For many skaters, it offers more glide in the straits and feels like it has more "bite" towards the end of the stroke while still feeling solid in the turns. Marathoners will find that this robust blade holds up well on natural ice also and the rocker changes less in cold out side conditions than in steel runner / aluminum tube clap blades. Note: If you are a sprinter and are going below 40 seconds on a 500 meter, you probably can use a bend in your long track blades. Please consult with us if you have any questions.
