Pennington Avenger Deluxe Pro Bent Blades $365

We asked Pennington to make us a mid-priced blade with very high performance characteristics that would let a beginner or intermediate skater not only skate well, but be good enough to skate to the next level of ability. Pennington's reply was the Avenger Deluxe Pro Bent blade. A combination of the Excalibur II tube (light, stiff, with many World Championship and Olympic wins) with a high speed steel blade and light weight, heavy duty brackets. The high speed steel holds a very fine edge for long periods of time. The extra beefy brackets allow efficient power transfer. And the Pro Bent feature keeps the factory bend in place much longer and with less deformation than manually bent blades. They come with a sophisticated compound radius that glides fast down the straights, yet turns sharply. The 1.25 M.M. blade will not get caught in rutted corners as easily. We fine tune the rocker and bend before you get them. Gold anodized to commemorate the 2002 Winter Olympics.
