New in 2004, the Maple Comet Steel Tube Clap Blade has a new steel tube that gives a different feel. One advantage is that the rocker in steel tubes is less affected by changes in temperature in out door skating venues. A very popular blade with the US National Long track speedskating team, this blade uses the same clap mechanism as the Maple Aluminum Tube Clap Blade. Maple clap blades must be rockered and tuned before you use them. We can rocker, adjust, lubricate, and perform preventive maintenance on them so they are ready to race when you get them. Available for both Bont style and Viking style boots.
