These degree angle brackets allow the skater to lean in to turn deeper while the blade remains more upright. You get a lower center of gravity for more speed and control in the corner while the blade glides faster and is less apt to 'skip' out on you as the angle of the blade is less extreme. Most skaters use a more extreme angle on the right blade, as that is the one they pivot on. The most common combinations are 91° / 93° to noticeably increase the performance of standard blades and 92° / 94° for the most extreme lean angle possible.
