Custom boots are made at the factory to plaster molds of your feet. This gives you the ultimate in fit, performance and comfort. A stock boot just cannot fit you as perfectly as a custom boot. The blade becomes an extension of your foot.
You may find that custom boots feel funny at first because they do not allow you to skate "sloppily." But once you get used to a custom boot, you skate faster and more efficiently.
We find that custom boots last longer and do not break down as quickly for our customers. So, although they cost more, they are worth it. They skate faster, they are more comfortable, and they last longer than stock boots.
